Reed Sensor Module (Reed Relay)

The Reed Sensor Module, also known as a Reed Relay, is a circuit board that houses a reed relay. This module can be activated by bringing a magnet close to it, making it an ideal component for encoder or magnet systems.

Technical Specifications

The module features three pins: Ground (GND), Voltage (Vcc), and a digital output pin. This configuration allows for compatibility with a wide range of microcontrollers, notably the Arduino.

The relay is typically in an open state, but will close upon the introduction of a magnet. This functionality makes it suitable for integration into systems such as magnetic keys or door alarm systems.

Orientation and Output

The reed relay on the module can be positioned either horizontally or vertically. The output is digital, providing a logic1 (5V) output. When a magnet is brought near, the onboard LED illuminates.
