74HC595 Shift Register IC (DIP‑16) — Serial-In, Parallel-Out SIPO 🔧

The 74HC595 is a high-speed CMOS 8-bit shift register with a separate storage (latch) register and 3‑state parallel outputs. It converts serial input into parallel output, enabling you to expand GPIO lines on a microcontroller or single-board computer such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi. Pin 9 (Q7’) provides a serial cascade output, allowing multiple devices to be daisy-chained for larger LED matrices or display systems.
