Pixhawk Flight Control Board PPM Encoder V1.0 - 8 Channels

The PPM Encoder V1.0 - 8 Channels is a device designed to connect to the PWM servo output ports of any R/C receiver. It encodes these outputs into a PPM pulse that is compatible with many autopilots, including the Pixhawk. The R/C receiver does not require any modifications to function with this encoder.
The encoder is built around the ATMEL ATMEGA328p AVR processor. All timing is managed within interrupts to guarantee maximum precision and stability. The design of the PPM Encoder is influenced by the Paparazzi PPM Encoder.

Important Information

The firmware of the encoder is pre-set to read 8 Channels. If you need to alter the settings of the PPM encoder, such as inverting the PPM signal or changing the fail-safe pre-defined values, an AVR ISP programmer will be required to reprogram it.
The board's jumper is set to no soldering by default. In this configuration, the flight controller (FC) powers the board.
